Scripture: Ezekiel 13:1-5

Verses 1-5 state, “And the word of the Lord came to me, saying, ‘Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel who prophesy, and say to those who prophesy out of their own heart, “Hear the word of the Lord!”’ Thus says the Lord God: ‘Woe to the foolish prophets, who follow their own spirit and have seen nothing! O Israel, your prophets are like foxes in the deserts. You have not gone up into the gaps to build a wall for the house of Israel to stand in battle on the day of the Lord.’” This passage in Ezekiel marks a monumental shift in the realm of the Spirit. That shift is occurring today in a number of nations. The shift is one where the chief enemy is no longer satan, but the God who is about to visit. Whenever God comes, He comes in holiness. He comes as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. And if God visits a nation and the church has not gone into the gaps to build a wall against evil, then many will not be able to stand in that day. If a wall has not been built against evil, the adversity that comes can cost a significant number of lives. Rightly discerning the times and seasons becomes one of the most important issues of the last days. We should be asking ourselves if our time in church increases or decreases our discernment? Discerning the times is a life or death issue!
