Scripture: Isaiah 59:11b-16

This passage shows us how Jesus feels when there is no justice.  It starts in 11b by, “We look for mish-pawt/justice, but there is none; For salvation, but it is far from us.”  Verse 14-16 says, “Mish-pawt/justice is turned back, And righteousness stands afar off; For truth is fallen in the street, And equity cannot enter. So truth fails,  And he who departs from evil makes himself a prey.  Then the LORD saw it, and it displeased Him That there was no mish-pawt/justice.”  When Jesus sees a society where the church is not demanding covenant justice, He is utterly displeased, grieved to the core and starts looking for a people who will yield their hearts to Him.  He looks for a people who will demand covenant justice!  Are we that people?  If we are not, then the Spirit will pass us by and go to others.  I trust we are!
