Scripture:  1 Timothy 2:1-4

Many today in the New Testament pray based on 1 Timothy 2:1-4 without taking the rest of Scripture into account.  What that produces is the same mentality of the church in Thyatira in Revelation 2:20.  It says, “Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow (eh-ah-o)…”   The Greek work eh-ah-o means to raise no resistance and to refuse to confront.  When we pray for an individual who is defiling and destroying our land we enable them to continue defiling it.  While that may be Priestly, that is not Kingly.  To be a King, you must judge what is good and what is evil.  When you find a person consistently doing evil you must switch from praying for them to praying against them.  If you don’t – whether uninformed or bound by religious tradition, we deny truth and our prayers will enable/ eh-ah-o evil.  When we get to heaven, instead of hearing “Well done, good and faithful servant,” we might hear, “Why did you not move in the spirit?”  God doesn’t ask us to bless evil.  He demands that we judge it.  Anything less loses our land!
