Scripture: Ephesians 6:13-17

We are told in Ephesians 6, “Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.  Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith…And take the helmet of salvation.”   Finally in verse 17 we are told to take “…the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”  Believers do not fight spiritual battles with natural weapons.  We fight them with the Word of God.  We pray the Word on a political leader’s head.  We take the prayer book of the Bible and we find a Psalm that specifically fits that leader and we pray that Psalm.  We demand covenant justice based on those Psalms.  Anything less is passivity.   Let us think twice about praying blessing on an individual whose decisions are filling the cup of iniquity that will lose our land?  The Bible has many justice prayers in it and most were all written by King David!
