Scripture: Luke 19:11-27

Jesus was on His way into Jerusalem and He told a parable about a nobleman who was going to receive for himself a kingdom and return.  He gave each of his servants a pound and asked that they do business until he returned.  But some of his citizens didn’t like him, even hated him.  One rejected his master’s instruction and buried his pound.  When the nobleman returned, he discovered one servant had made ten pounds, one had made five, and the other had let it lie useless.  In the parable, he took the pound away from the servant with only one and gave it to the one who had ten.  At the end of the story he said, bring here those enemies of mine who did not want me to reign over them and slay them before me!  The job of the church is to bring His justice.  It is our job to preserve our land and our territory.  The only way we can is to, in prayer, demand covenant justice on those who are filling the land with iniquity.  The question then becomes a simple one of who rules?  If God rules, justice will come!
