Word at Work Intro May, 2010

Dear Friend:

This may well be the most important series ever offered by Word At Work Ministries.  We have a mandate to prepare the church for persecution.  We understand that mandate to include prophetic preparation that enables every believer to stand victoriously in the face of governmental opposition even if a Herod is attempting to incarcerate you!  Training cannot be complete unless we can access the Throne just as the early church releasing if necessary the same angel who dispatched Herod.

Our goal is the successful development of every Christian into Christlikeness.  The early church asked for boldness and the anointing which was on Moses to manifest for them when needed.  One prayer which really fits for where we are is in Psalms 94:1-13:

O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongs— O God, to whom vengeance belongs, shine forth! Rise up, O Judge of the earth; Render punishment to the proud. LORD, how long will the wicked, How long will the wicked triumph? They utter speech, and speak insolent things; All the workers of iniquity boast in themselves. They break in pieces Your people, O LORD, And afflict Your heritage. They slay the widow and the stranger, And murder the fatherless. Yet they say, ‘The LORD does not see, Nor does the God of Jacob understand.’ Understand, you senseless among the people; And you fools, when will you be wise? He who planted the ear, shall He not hear? He who formed the eye, shall He not see? He who instructs the nations, shall He not correct, He who teaches man knowledge? The LORD knows the thoughts of man, That they are futile. Blessed is the man whom You instruct, O LORD, And teach out of Your law, That You may give him rest from the days of adversity, Until the pit is dug for the wicked.

When facing a very large enemy, it requires a much longer time period to dig an accommodating pit!  The prayers of the saints dig those pits.  Shovel, shovel, shovel, shovel, shovel!

Yours In Him,

Al Houghton
